5 things about me:
1) I like to bargain hunt. I like to find the best deals, the coupon match ups, the sneaky clearance items and best sales. I can pretty much name off the price of anything in my area at any store. Who needs a price book when you can remember the price to the penny of everything at the store? My best deal? A 2 screen dvd player for the car, originally $250, paid $40.42. It pays to go to target early and walk down the backs of every single row. It's my favorite thing to do when I have no kids.
2) I love to read. I obsessively read everything. The back of shampoo bottles, the back of the package of cereal, the back of the package of toilet paper. I hate being stuck somewhere and not having anything to read. My favorite authors are Lee Child and Patricia Cornwell. I've read the Twilight books a million times, and finished the last Harry Potter in about 2 1/2 hours. I'm also a fast reader and am usually disappointed when new books come out because I finish them quickly.
3) I like to play World of Warcraft. I have a 80 disc priest (a person who heals the other people). Once I was ranked the 8th best disc priest on my server (out of several hundred). Now I'm around the 60s, since it's very hard to make raids with 4 kids (or when I had three kids and one who was sitting on my bladder). I like to play since I can talk to other adults, have some fun, and not have to find a sitter or be away from my kids. I'm also not known as "mommy" on there- and knowing you did a good job at something (even something silly) is fun. It's a silly, non-mommy thing to do, and I have fun wasting the occasional afternoon playing for a bit.
4) I hate fighting. I'd rather stick my head in the sand then spend time arguing. If you can't see it my way, then you can take the highway option. I'll generally be miserable and keep my mouth shut then to start an argument. I don't like confrontations either, but I have been getting better at that.
5) I love to ride roller coasters. The bigger, the better. Living in So Cali sure has its perks when you can ride everything from It's a small world to Tatsu & X2 (or whatever it's called now) in the same day. My favorite coaster so far is Tatsu, though when Disneyland did Rock it space mountain and rockin California Screaming, those would hands down be the winner. It doesn't matter if it has loops or hills or just a huge drop, I will ride it. I wont bungie jump or skydive though, as I'd like to stay alive for my kids.
I hope you enjoyed learning a bit about me!
So glad you joined in! I'm with you on #1, 2, and 4, but not so much on #5! I used to like roller coasters so I'm not sure what happened, but I'm scared of them now. lol
ReplyDeleteIt was really fun to learn more about you!
Genny
Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI stopped by from Genny's place. It's nice to meet you. I love that you bargain hunt! There's nothing like a true deal, right? I bought a pair of $400 Diesel boots for $25 at a garage sale - one of my best finds ever.
I also love Target...
Well, have a great day!
Kellie
It's nice to meet you Kellie and Genny!
