What do Mash Potatoes have to do with anything? They don't. Except that I tackled cleaning/reorganizing the pantry this weekend. After the 3 days I spent trying to move as little as possible due to the sunburn from heck. I was burned and blistery. At least when I was feeling better, the two youngest kids helped me sort the cans and the boxes and re-put them back in the pantry. Now I know what I have and what I needed. I still have to update my inventory on my phone.
Last week was the boys last P.E. class. I'm kinda glad, but kinda sad. Glad we don't have to wake up early and drive tons and come back, but at the same point, I liked getting out of the house. Today was the last tutoring for Daredevil. He has improved a LOT from where he was at. Apparently he wrote "poop" at tutoring. I see that as a small step in the right direction- at least he is writing and spelling words. However, I'd like him to spell something other then poop.
Princess goes in Thursday to get the pin taken out of her arm. She is going to a surgery center to get it out. I just want this whole arm-pin thing to be DONE and over with. The doctor wont remove it at the office, so we had to get the insurance to agree for the surgery center. Today Daredevil and Princess were playing and she bumped her arm and it was all gross. Hubby says to take her to the doctor tonight. Yeah- no thanks. She's not in pain and it's not bleeding, and she'll get it out Thursday at the crack of dawn. That's going to go over really well with her! At least it is so early, she wont notice she doesn't get food in the morning.
Genius and Daredevil have been working really hard on the garden. Part of the grass in the backyard got sacrificed for a cornfield. They have a lot of determination in their digging, mulching, and watering. I really hope the corn and watermelon grow. They still have carrots and green beats to start once the corn gets on it's way. It will be worth it to have some food we grew ourselves, and it's neat to see the comprehension on Daredevil's face- "ohhhh- that's what a root looks like!".
I went to Stater Bros today and for $30 got 4 boxes of crackers, 2 bottles of salad dressing, 2 packs of hot dogs, 6 lbs of boneless skinless chicken, 3 lbs of ground beef, 1.5 lbs of stew pork meat, and 2 lbs of pork loin, oh, and a gallon of ice cream. Not too bad. I also finished my Rite Aid rolling of the diaper & little swimmers deals, and the sunblock deal. I love the spray on sunblock, so getting it for really cheap was a big plus. Now to just remember to USE it.
Doorbuster fell asleep watching Thomas in the living room. Princess helped rock him to sleep. She was very proud of herself.
