A Tours of...My Stockpile

One of the new cool things about being a couponer is having a huge stockpile. Some people have stores in their homes, some have a extra closet with some things in it. You wont end up with a huge stockpile overnight, but little by little things add up. I started out with one shelf, then two, then three, and now I have stuff stuck all over.

No, you can't come over and shop my stockpile. The stuff may have been free or very cheap, but it did cost me my time in cutting, planning, shopping, and printing. It was well worth it though. Sometimes I do share, when I have extras. :)

I think this is supposed to be a linen closet. I don't like clutter, and I think it's silly to have a closet full of linens. Everybody has sheets for their beds, and a spare set in the closet. This held board games for awhile, but it got taken over.

This is the top cupboard. The top has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, air freshener, and tons of toothpaste. The second shelf holds pads, liners, razors, body was, lotion, sunblock, diaper rash cream, veet, lotion, and probably more toothpaste. The bottom shelf holds baby bath, baby shampoo, baby bath, kandoo wipes, deodorant, heat pads, and on the side a basket of toothbrushes/toothpaste, and a basket that was once just makeup and fingernail clippers, and now it holds a bunch of medicine too. If I lined everything up all pretty, it wouldn't fit.

I started to run out of room on the top, so stuff on the bottom is being moved. Well, tossed, since it isn't stuff I need anyways. This cupboard needs a baby lock on it before I put much more in here.

You wanted to know how much stuff was in the basket right? The other basket I don't dare move, as the stuff will fall over.

Yeah, so not moving it. We do not have a lack of fingernail clippers in this house! I got the baskets at the $1 store, I will probably get two more and move some stuff around.

This is the top of Princess's closet, where I toss the diapers I am not using. The pampers box holds a munch of individual bags of diapers, and (not pictured) is some little swimmers stacked up too. Along with some magic cards, and Keith Sluder pictures. If you want some pictures, I'm your (wo)man. I also keep the diapers and wipes I am using, plus an extra pack, on a shelf by my bed in my room. That's where I change most of the diapers.

I also try to keep an extra bottle or two of what I use under my sink. It stinks when you realize you are out of shampoo or soap and have to run out into the hallway. I also cram all the toilet paper under the bathroom sinks.

Food doesn't last long around here, but it's all crammed into the pantry cupboard. The whole top pantry section is all spaghetti noodles & ziplock bags. The very bottoms is filled with boxes of cereal. I stack bread on top of the fridge until we are using it. I tell my hubby that I want a kitchen with a big long row of cupboards someday. Someday soon, as we will have 2 teenage boys that eat a lot before we know it.

So that is the beginnings of my stockpile.

  1. Wow. I keep an extra bar of soap and in the pantry we have an excess of Campbell's noodle soup but other than that, we have extras of almost nothing. Oh...and a 5# bag of cat food. I guess that's the difference at our stage of life. What happens to us is that we FORGET we have stuff, so one or the other of us goes to the market almost every day. Our Costco runs are few and far between....bread and wine is pretty well all we can buy there and be sure we'll use it up. Fascinating to see how much stuff a growing family requires. Love AFW
